Protego Foster Houses provides

EMERGENCY SHELTER Protego Foster Houses registered in 2008, provides a safe, supportive, temporary alternative to home for:

• Refugees
• Elderly people
• Abused women
• Aboriginal people with their children
• Teenagers who are in need for legal, financial and medical resources.

Also available rehabilitation program for people undergoing anti-narcotics treatments.

In our 15-room shelter for 30 visitors, we offer a 24-hour surveillance, considerate room service and full course hot meals, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, cooked in our own kitchen.

We provide:

Shelter

• We develop the foster houses for refugees, elderly people, the abused women, the aboriginal people with their children and the teenagers who are in need for legal, financial and medical resources.
• We provide the safe environment with 24-hour surveillance.
• We provide considerate room service.
• We provide full course hot meals, including breakfast, lunch and dinner cooked in our own kitchen.

Support

• We provide support services for aged persons including personal care, housekeeping, meals, nursing, shopping assistance and transportation to medical appointments.
• We provide the legal and psychological support in collaboration with legal services and community centers;
• We provide a temporary financial support for the time being on recovery;
• We provide the help on medical resources in collaboration with local CHSL

Programs

• We provide counselling and outreach programs to those affected by family violence.
• We operate and maintain a long-term group home for troubled youth.
• We maintain a life-skills learning center for aboriginal troubled children and youth. To provide an extensive aftercare program for troubled youth.
• We provide outreach and intervention programs, youth conferences and workshops for troubled youth.
• We provide a learning center for educational assessment, behavior management and tutoring for children, youth and parents
• We provide mentoring programs, workshops and seminars for parents, children and youth in anger management, conflict resolution and effective communication
